2008.4.27 @ 07:45 Pours a dark brown and is opaque with a large one inch light tan head sitting on top. Good retention and a little lacing. Aroma is simple, but nice. Sweet ripe fruits, plums and raisins. A gentle maltiness is also available. Taste is nice. A big bready malt taste dominates. Some sweet ripe fruits, noteably plums. There is also a slight alcohol tinge, but I think the beer could stand to be a few degrees cooler. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with a nice carbonation. Drinkability is moderate. Great flavors make for easy consumption, but moderately high alcohol limit consumption. A great beer. |
