2008.1.26 @ 22:24 Great copper color and huge head. The nose is incredibly hoppy with a mostly grapefruity aroma. The taste is huge. Sweetness from the honey, but huge bitterness from the hops. a great grapefruit citrusy flavor. Be careful, beer weighs in at 10% ABV. A true delight. |

2008.2.7 @ 03:02 Amazingly tasty brew that is both a hop head's delight and at the same time, not overly bitter. Delicious citrusy grapefruit hop flavors backed by a nice honey sweetness and somewhat more subdued piney hop flavors. At 10% ABV with 100+ supposed IBUs, Hopslam is actually quite drinkable and alcohol is very well concealed. Be careful though, the alcohol in this one can sneak up on you after a few! This brew also smells fantastic. It will definitely slam you with its hops, but the flavor coming from them is mostly of grapefruit and won't kill your taste buds. For an intensely hoppy beer, this one isn't too bitter. It is very delicious though! Pretty great balance, but the hops are, as they should be, front and center. last edited on 2008.2.16 @ 21:33 |
