2007.11.3 @ 21:00 They say this beer is "based on cherries", but don't let that fool you into thinking that it's one of those sweet, fruity wheats that are popular these days. This beer has a nice, tart, sour cherry flavor. Excellent by itself, I'm not sure what food I'd pair with it. |

2008.4.26 @ 14:47 Pours a brownish color that appears ruby in the light. A one inch light tan head sits on top with decent retention and no real lace. Aroma is subtle, but some tart cherry notes are definitely present. Also a slight vinegar aroma and a light yeast. The taste is pretty huge. Strong cherry flavor, candy like but not cloying. A nice tart note makes the mouth water for more. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with gentle carbonation which was perfect. Drinkability is moderate. Low alcohol makes for easy consumption, but more than a bottle may be annoying. |
