2008.2.23 @ 00:08 Beer pours black and completely opaque. Two fingers of brown head sit on top and receeds fairly quickly. The aroma is full of flavors. Dark roated malts, chocolate, vanilla, toffee, and a slightly bitter character. Taste is big time. Dark chocolate, vanilla, coffee, hop bitterness, and a slight alcohol warmth are all present. Mouthfeel is full and thick. I'd say creamy yet kind of chewy. The carbonation is low, but appropriate. Drinkability is fair due to the strong flavors and high alcohol. |
