2007.11.29 @ 22:04 Really hot, make sure you've got some good Mexican food to go with it. |

2007.12.1 @ 10:40 Pours a pale golden color with excellent clarity. I got a two finger foamy head with an aggressive pour. Terrible retention and no lacing. The aroma is...well...seemingly appropriate for a chili beer. The chili in the nose definitely dominates. It just screams spicey. But definitely chili peppers, and some sweet pale malt is in the distance. It's faint, but in there. The taste is not so good. A sort of skunky lager with some stale pale malt and a huge kick of jalepenos. It's slightly sweet, but the spice just overwhelms the palate and lingers in the back of your throat. Very unpleasant. Mouthfeel is thin and carbonation is fairly low. Drinkability is incredibly low. The flavor of this beer is not very good, and it is definitely overwhelming. I can't see sitting down and drinking the whole bottle comfortably. I have used it as a marinade in the past and that seems to work just fine. last edited on 2008.9.16 @ 10:33 |
