A huge disappointment. This beer does not reflect the qualities of a lambic. It is more like a weak Cranberry Hefe. It's a typical wheat with a subtle tart cranberry note. I love Jim Koch, but he dropped the ball on this one.

Not a lambic at all. A lambic would be spontaneously fermented with wild yeast. This beer, as stated on the label, uses a "unique top-fermenting yeast." It reminds me of Hoegaarden in a way, (but I may be crazy) and has banana and clove notes and even apple and bubblegum, all of which are typical of a Hefe. The cranberry is weak and the overpowering yeastiness and underlying sickening sweetness ruin this brew.
