2007.10.17 @ 20:07 Imagine, if you will, a fresh poblano pepper, picked this morning. Also imagine that I have stuffed it with sautéed onion & garlic, diced tomato, eggplant, red beans, and seasoned brown rice, then baked it. It looks, smells, and tastes delicious. However, there is one small problem: poblano peppers are darn spicy! There are no dairy products in the house, nor bread; just a few cans of Budweiser that someone sent home with us after a party because we "like beer". But oh boy, do I like Budweiser today! It's ice-cold and fizzy, and it cut the spice nicely. Instead of groaning in agony and fanning our mouths, we shall go on to enjoy the evening. It may not be my usual first choice of beer, but I am forever grateful that it was in the fridge tonight! |

2007.11.6 @ 02:57 Definately a beer I could drink on any day of the week. |

2008.2.7 @ 04:13 Best example of an American Macro Lager, but that's not a good thing. Flavorless, ridiculous, and horrid are a few words that come to mind. Absolute garbage. I would rather drink non-alcoholic beer (and trust me, that won't happen either). Thank God for craft beer. The wusses that drink this crap don't like beer, they like rusty tap water with traces of cat urine, or vice versa. P.S. Dudweiser is 30% rice. If I wanted to drink an alcoholic beverage made from rice, I would drink Sake!!! A terrible, terrible shame to the world of beer. last edited on 2008.2.7 @ 04:17 |

2008.3.27 @ 20:45 Glad there are objective reviews... This beer pours a pale golden/yellow color and came to me with no head. However, I know it has a thin white head. The aroma is weak. Some sweet malt character but not much else. Taste follows suit. There is a little sweet malt, more than other American macros. There's also a little floral hop. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with plenty of carbonation. Drinkability is moderate. It's a sessionable beer, but I'm not encouraged to drink many due to it's lack of flavor. |

2008.3.27 @ 22:15 Huh. I could have sworn I reviewed this beer. I actually went to the trouble a couple of months ago of pouring a can into a proper pilsner glass, and pairing it with a couple of different meals. What I found was that Budweiser really doesn't have much flavor. There's a bit of sweetness, and a bit of bitterness. But, now that I'm used to pulling apart different malt and hop varieties, and thinking about their characters, I just don't find much to grasp in Budweiser. The sweet is unexciting, and the bitter has no color to it. |

2008.6.1 @ 20:41 Better macro lagers can be found in Narragansett Lager. Heck, even Michelob is a better and the same brewery makes it. |
