New: Member Pages

How can this truly be a social site without the ability to check up on your friends? It can't, of course, which is why I introduce to you today "member pages." Click a member's name anywhere on the site, and you'll be taken to a new page about them.

For now, member pages are pretty simple. You can easily track beers that a member has submitted and comments they have made. But, there is now an opportunity to share a little about yourself with everyone else.

While browsing beers, you'll see a new button: "Make this my favorite beer." Clicking that button will select that beer for special display on your member page. For example, you can see that my favorite beer is currently Schultheiss Lager Schwarz on my member page.

If you check out your own member page, you'll also see that you have an opportunity to tell people where you're from. Feel free to put anything you want in here (sure, you can be from Mars), just remember that it's publicly viewable.

What else would you like to see on member pages? If there's something more you'd like to share with people, please send me email (webmaster@) describing what you'd liek to see.

You'll notice a few other improvements about the site as well - default map view setting, beers listed per page, etc. I hope they make your stay more enjoyable.
