Improved Maps

If you check here frequently, you may have noticed that BeerRiot Local got an upgrade last night. There have been many improvements, among them:

• A smoother experience. The map only loads the points you can see now (rather than loading the hundreds on the other side of the globe), so things run more smoothly.
• Less clutter though grouping. Instead of cramming fifty markers into a ten-mile square, the map will now show a cluster marker (look for the "+") when you're zoomed way out.
• Filtering by marker type. Only looking for a place to enjoy a beer, rather than the brewery that makes it? Uncheck the box next to "Breweries" in the key, and watch all those red markers vanish, leaving only your Events and Places.

If you're out on the road, visiting foreign lands, give the map a glance to see what local brew you should watch out for.
