Not Your Average Joe's

2008.4.11 @ 21:41 This location, at least, tries to have a couple of local-ish (New England) beers available (sometimes on tap, sometimes in bottle). Unfortunately, I've known them to be a bit hit-and-miss - I've had a pint or two that tasted a bit skunky. It's usually worth the risk, though, and I note that it's been a while since the last off-pint. Also, you'll need to trust your own instinct about the beer options. The people behind the bar might be alright, because someone writes the menu fairly well, but the staff that wait on the tables can't tell you much more than whether the beer is on tap or in bottles. The food's alright - definitely a step above bar food. I suggest the "not-you-average house" salad, and the barbeque chicken or the spicy hawaiian chicken pizzas. The cobb salad's alright too, but be prepared for a huge plate of salad. last edited on 2008.4.11 @ 21:47 |
