Newport Storm '06 Strong Ale 2007.12.25 @ 22:54

This one is great now that it's been aged for a year. I'm planning on picking up a couple bottles, another one to drink and one to save for another year or 2.

Newport Storm '07 2007.12.25 @ 22:54

Tried this one today. It was good, but could use a little aging. I'm going to pick up another one and try it in a year.

Do you insist on proper glassware? 2008.4.5 @ 19:25

The "bubble pint" is actually called a nonic (not sure on the origin of that). [HTML_REMOVED]

I don't insist on proper glassware at bars, but at home I do. I have a ton of regular pint glasses, a couple wheat beer glasses, a tulip (for Belgians), a snifter, and a couple bigger flutes.

I'd say that the tulip and snifter are "must have" glasses. I use them quite often.

Raspberry Ale 2008.4.19 @ 10:14

This beer tastes like Cap'n Crunch Crunch Berries.

Budweiser 2008.6.1 @ 20:41

Better macro lagers can be found in Narragansett Lager. Heck, even Michelob is a better and the same brewery makes it.

Girardin Gueuze 1882 Black Label 2008.6.27 @ 22:38

Toasted with this beer at my wedding. Easily the best gueuze I've had.

Liquor de Malt 2008.6.27 @ 22:41

No longer made. Comes in a brown paper bag.

Manchester Star Ale 2008.6.27 @ 22:44

Brewed in collaboration with Garrett Oliver of Brooklyn Brewery.

Ridge Runner Ale 2008.7.11 @ 19:29

A very light in flavor barleywine. I'm aging one to see how it turns out.

Dark and Stormy Night 2008.7.11 @ 19:30

Odd dunkelweizen crossed with English brown ale. I enjoyed it.

Yippee IPA 2008.7.11 @ 19:32

This one was a great English IPA with a flavor that I couldn't really figure out. It was almost a whisky-like flavor, but not.

Chimay Red (Premiére) 2008.7.13 @ 21:53

Drank a bunch of this at a Belgian dubbel tasting. For all the hype given to Chimay, it was actually one of my least favorites of the night (I liked them all, but this one just wasn't special). It was weak in flavor and thinner in body.

"Shabadoo" Black & Tan Ale 2008.8.14 @ 23:07

This is a black and tan made with their Drayman's Porter and their Traditional Pale Ale (Berkshire Ale). It was originally mixed by a bartender and people loved the mix. After he died, the brewers decided to immortalize his concoction. I believe proceeds go to charity.

Newport Storm Winter Ale 2008.8.26 @ 22:34

This is the new name for their Blizzard Porter.

Chainsaw Ale 2008.8.26 @ 22:40

Double Sawtooth Ale
