Hoegaarden Original White Ale 2007.9.19 @ 03:24 I do like this one, a lot, but I find I can't drink too many of them as the "apple" taste becomes a bit too much after, say, two or three.
Foster's 2007.9.19 @ 03:25 Please don't judge Australian beer by this horrid little export lager.
Guinness Draught 2007.9.19 @ 03:27 Absolutely agree "stalwart" is the perfect word. Worth a trip to Dublin just to drink it closer to the source. For some reason the stuff seems to get more "lemony" the further away from Ireland one drinks it...
Grolsch Premium Lager 2007.9.19 @ 03:28 What lager should taste like, imo.
Yanjing (11º Premium Extra) 2007.9.19 @ 03:30 Watery, weak, tasteless. Avoid at all costs.
Coopers Sparkling Ale 2007.9.19 @ 03:34 Known (and ordered) as "Coopers Red" owing to its distinctive red label.
Coopers Original Pale Ale 2007.9.19 @ 03:36 Known (and ordered) as "Coopers Green" due to its green label. Must be rolled or inverted prior to opening to distribute the sediment.
Chimay Blue (Grande Réserve) 2007.10.2 @ 04:32 A little medicinal in flavour, which I love. A "chalky" aftertaste (which I also love). Absolutely perfect with fatty food (say a Four Cheeses Pizza).
Kirin Ichiban 2007.10.16 @ 01:33 Vastly superior to the regular Kirin Lager. Nicely rounded and far more fully flavored.
Bitburger 2007.10.18 @ 06:44 Would be ok with very fatty-sweet food (say, the kind of stuff you get where this beer is made!) but is too bitter for casual consumption IMO.
Chimay Red (Premiére) 2007.10.18 @ 06:45 This was my very first "try because BeerRiot said I'd like it" -- and I loved it! Bravo BeerRiot!
Coopers Best Extra Stout 2008.1.23 @ 02:10 Deep liquorice and roasted grains... yum!
Pale Ale 2008.1.23 @ 02:13 Be nice if this beer traveled more successfully. But, sadly, it's best straight out of the brewery in the Little Creatures brewpub in Freo. From a bottle, it needs to be poured as quickly and smoothly as possible into a wide-mouth straight-sided glass. "Necking" this beer will result in a very sub-standard experience.
I.P.A. 2008.5.26 @ 03:50 Like most IPAs this is big and bitter. Great with spicy food.
